in Eastleigh, a somalian refugee city. we are in the "local"
restaurant and because of their culture, you can only eat with your
hands, your right hand to be exact. the left hand is considered
too dirty to eat with. dirty. also, everyone eats off the same plate.
the stuff that looks like milk on the table is far from normal milk.
its camel milk and for those of you who haven't tried it before,
the most accurate way to describe it's taste would be between smokey
beef jerky and teriyaki chicken. this experience taught me i've
been living a sheltered eating life.
